Description
Named after the beaver-dam-esque retaining walls built into this steep slot to create comfortable belay ledges (respect to Alfred Hernandez and his wife for building them), El Cañón del Castor is a small shady canyon located up the road towards the reservoir from El Reliz proper.
Location
Finding this area can be somewhat difficult as it is difficult to see from the road. Begin the approach approximately 200 meters past El Reliz proper in a small arroyo that does not connect to the road via any defined trail. Look for bolts up and to the right on the canyons east side. Routes are listed from right to left.
