There is an "escape" variation of this problem that goes out left up easy climbing after the crux, rather than finishing straight up. This variation gets a much lower rating...V3 or something, but as far as I can tell (I've done both versions), they share the crux and the difference between the finishes is not much and is mostly mental.

That said, a fantastic problem on great rock, a good landing from the crux, and some of the best routes in the park just 100yds away. Check out the Inquisition problem while you're there, it's another super classic and wildly entertaining boulder problem about 50ft away.

I found the crux to be entirely after the "escape". Great BP!
