The Old Forge area is a patchwork of private and public property. Please respect private property and posted signs, and avoid climbing or trespassing on private property unless you have permission from the landowner.

Description

Climb slab to the chimney-slot and up into a blocky area. Continue up the large squeeze chimney to a square ledge.

Protection

Fixed webbing around a pine tree for rap.

Half way up there is a repel station with a sling wrapped around a large flake. I climbed to the top and found a suitable tree to repel from. Left a sling and two biners. Good fun route doesn't get the credit it deserves. If your climbing to the top do a double rope rappel and save yourself some time.
