Relaxing at the P1 belay of Fruit Loops at Rumbling Bald.

I've got a Gunks trip planned for the last week in September; I can't wait! Can anyone tell me what kind of weather I should expect at that time of year? I'm not worried about temperature, but whether it will rain the whole time.

Thanks for any beta.

A mug shot for my profile.

September is generally one of the best months to visit the Gunks. You might get some rain, but it shouldn't be at all constant. Have a great time!

That's good news!

Let me know if you're going to be around then, maybe we can meet up.

Okay, here's another question: what's the current price for a day pass? Last year it was $15; unless it's gone down (not likely), it'll be cheaper for me to spring for an annual pass.

How to really enjoy the Tetons...

JL,

Day passes are $15! a day...I think an annual pass is $85 for climbers

Yep. I bought mine yesterday. It'll pay for itself in the six days I'll be there. Plus I was glad to find out it's not a calendar year pass (IOW it won't expire in December). So I'm already covered for next spring!

Top of a climb at Little Falls

www.wunderground.com and click on the "Trip Planner" will give you a history and prediction of each month's and day's weather. September, provided no rain, is real nice for climbing at the Gunks.
