I'm heading to DC from the midwest to do grad school for the next two years and looking for people to climb with. I'm a mid level climber, a little over two years experience, mostly sport and very little trad. Can lead 10, toprope up to 11b or thereabouts.

There is a good website that has been helpful to me in finding partners: dcoutdoorrockclimbing.com. Actually, it is a Yahoo email list. It works well. Lots of friendly folks on there.

I would be willing to climb with you. I just retired, so my schedule is very flexible. I don't climb as hard as you do, but I do lead 5.7 trad and follow a bit harder. email me at Hutbill@comcast.net if interested.

There are several good top rope areas quite near DC. And for multi pitch trad there is Seneca (3+ hours away) and the Gunks (5-6 hours).
