Description

The East Corner is the easternmost rock in the small group of formations to the south of the Heap. There are a couple Scarpelli 5.11+ routes on the south side and some newer bolted slab climb on the east.

Getting There

It is located about 200-300 yards to the SW of the Spectreman Buttress.

Per Guy H.: the fastest approach to the area goes right by Spectreman, so this is the best reference point. You will have to hike through the trees with no defined trail. It is 200-300yrds SW of Spectreman.

There are a couple other bolted climbs and at least one easy crack. Climbing was OK, not great. Hard for me to find the place--could have been user error, but I didn't find the info on this site or "The Voo" to be clear. This crag is not particularly close to Spectreman IMO, and I'm not sure why that's the reference point. Wish I had taken a GPS coordinate.

A better description would be nice (if possible). I've tried to search out East Corner when I was in Upper Blair... no luck.

Standing on the slabs below Spectreman, you can see the routes on the East Corner. The fastest approach to the area goes right by Spectreman, so this is the best reference point. You will have to hike through the trees with no defined trail. It is 200-300yrds SW of Spectremen. Sorry you guys couldn't find it.
