East Battle Ship

Red Fleet sandstone splitters. CAUTION!!! Loose rocks everywhere. Helmets are needed at all times. Also tread lightly this area is new to climbing and trails have not been established.

Getting There

Head north from Vernal on 191 for 3.8 miles. Turn right off of highway on to paved road that heads towards dinosaur tracks. Go 1.5 miles then turn right onto dirt road. Follow dirt road for .8 miles to pull off. Hike south east over ridge and the climbing area is the visible cliffs farthest east.

A wide hands to off width splitter. Great route that will test your fists. The crack appears to be full of guano, however the crack is clean.. just a little stinky. Enjoy!...[more]   Browse More Classics in UT
