| Does anyone know of/have any experience with a Dry Cleaner in the Boulder area who knows what they are doing cleaning down jackets? Thanks for any POSITIVE feedback. Todd | FLAG |

| Nikwax makes a product that allows you to do it yourself (tho I think you're supposed to use a front-loading washer). Also, if you do it yourself, if you dry it in a machine, throw a handful of tennis balls in with the garment to help maintain the loft as it dries. Dunno of any dry cleaners. | FLAG |

| you can most likely wash and dry it at home. i've done that with my down jackets and had no problems at all. i think some recommend using a front load washing machine or one w/o an agitator. | FLAG |

| Grangers is another company that makes a down cleaner. Don't use detergent as it will strip the natural oils from the down and any DWR that was applied at the factory. Remove all detergent residue from machine by running a hot cycle with just water. Wash jacket on gentle cycle. Since a "handful" of tennis balls is really just one, I'd say throw about 8 in the dryer with your jacket, low to medium heat. | FLAG |

| Meadowview Cleaners in Longmont has done a nice job on my patagucci in the past. They seemed to know what they were doing. No problems. | FLAG |

| THe Nikwax down wash, front loader at a laundromat, dryer on low with a couple tennis balls. I did my big puffy, down vest and 20 degree bag in one fell swoop. Whole shebang cost like 12 bucks, everything came out looking brand new. Easy. | FLAG |
