RAIN AND WET ROCK The sandstone around Moab is fragile and is very easily damaged when it is wet. MORE INFO >>>

Dock Rock is the long low formation directly in front of the parking lot. It is probably the easiest 5th class formation in the Fisher Towers to climb, but also has some harder routes and potential for more.

Getting There

From the parking lot, look for the climber's trail heading towards Dock Rock and the north face of the Kingfisher. A short walk leads to the base.

Climb broken rock up to a large ledge system. Traverse right and up past a two bolt anchor - I have no idea what that is for. Wind around the back side of the formation and up to the summit ridge. There are several sets of rap anchors on top, and you can just barely make it down with one 60 meter rope from the rightmost anchors....[more]   Browse More Classics in UT
