I think it would be really nice to be able to watch route videos on MP either by hosting its own videos or embedding Youtube videos.

That would be awesome! John just bought some video software, and already has a pretty entertaining mountaineering, and climbing video in the works, and we're thinking of doing some mini spaghetti westerns on our desert epics, I mean adventures. Nothing long; we wouldn't want to bore anyone. Cool idea for MP!
