On your first visit, go to the Blue Ball Barn to get a mandatory (but inexpensive) climbing permit. You must carry the permit with you any time you climb on ropes at Alapocas, or you may be ticketed.

Keeping climbing areas open and conserving the climbing environment

Description The route's dichotomy is between the slabby footwork of the lower half, and the vertical handwork of the upper half (where the crux can be found).
Location The route starts on a ledge halfway up the left side of the main wall. A use trail follows the creek left of the wall uphill past a pool and small waterfalls. From the top, one can reach the anchor bolts, and rappel down to the start of the climb. Alternately, one can scramble from the ground up a series of slabs and ledges, which can be seasonally overgrown or dirty.
Protection A pair of bolts makes setting a toprope fairly simple.
