| Hey Midwest climbers and anyone else, heads up about a new Devil's Lake DLFA film by our very own Darin Limvere, coming soon! He has started a kickstarter account to help defray music costs, any help is greatly appreciated! www.kickstarter.com/projects/2126892908/the-dlfa-a-documenta>>> Darin is an accomplished filmmaker, having worked with Red Bull, skateboarding, and a Dean Potter documentary. Check it out, contribute if you can, and look for the film coming soon. | FLAG |

| Thanks for posting this here Chris. It looks to be an extremely cool project and well worth a few bucks. | FLAG |

| This looks like a great project. I have found some of those beer cans in remote places...like the south bluff...and it brings back the 70's memories! I look forward to the release and view of this project. | FLAG |

| Very cool to see these guys are getting the recognition they deserve for what they contributed to climbing in the midwest. | FLAG |

| Wow, nice work everyone! Funded with 25 days to go. Kind of cool folks are excited about this. Just a little side note, Darin emailed me that the budget for travel, equipment, time, editing, etc is actually a little more than 3 times what he asked for initially, so it would be cool if Darin's costs to produce were covered from the get-go. Obviously some funds will roll in from sales of the movie too, but everyone who has not contributed should consider donating to "pre-purchase" the download. Check out other Limvere stuff at darinlimvere.com/ PS. If you don't see your name on the list of contributors on kickstarter, the list only gets updated every 10 contributors for some reason, so be patient. Thanks! | FLAG |

The list of DLFA achievements beyond the Lake is long and impressive- so just a sample: Ken Sauls has hit the summit of Everest twice; Barry Rugo once- real expeditions, not high-cost guided ascents.... Rugo has first ascents all over the northeast- rock and ice.... Dave Groth has left a meaningful imprint all over the US, Canada, Greenland, and beyond. Talk with Sangdahl long enough to pierce his modesty and hear what he's done in CO and CA... Page through the Jackson Falls guide to see what Bechler got up to... The list goes on and on... | FLAG |

| Darin gave me the lowdown on the film this past fall/winter in JT and the film sounds badass. The guys at Devils Lake were total characters! Darin worked his ass off in between climbing. Not sure if making the film or climbing was the work. Props Darin! | FLAG |

| So Darin, what's the progress so far? Like who from 'the Club' is lined up for interviews so far? Any surprise guests we will see? Eager to attend a viewing somewhere in Chicago area late this fall. | FLAG |

| Mr Chuck, he's back in WI, living in his van, and may not have Internet. I know he's psyched on finishing up work on the film, which is the reason he's here this fall. | FLAG |

| I like Mr. Chuck's idea. Any talk of a screening after its finished? Baraboo, Madison? | FLAG |

| After climbing with him for a couple days this past week it sounds like it is going to be good from what he is telling me. | FLAG |

| Sorry, delayed response to Jon's question. Yes, screening in a few cities are planned, but expensive to front, so waiting on sponsors. Look on Facebook for Darin's own updates, once the time gets closer. | FLAG |

| Sounds good! I'll bet a cheep rental of a movie theater would run about 400 bucks for one showing. But, count me in for the price of admission! Maybe a showing at a climbing gym or an outdoor shop in the area? | FLAG |

| Theater is preferred. Where would you suggest Jon for here in Madison? Something older and maybe on campus or downtown? | FLAG |

| TTalk to fontana, they seem to have a good connection with the barrymore, and they might be a sponsor? | FLAG |

| Cool, good leads gentlemen. I will ask Remo who he should talk to at Fontana. | FLAG |

| Memorial Union isn't an option, as the theater is in the middle of a year-long renovation. However, Union South is always an option...and arguably a better venue for movies. There are certain organizations on campus that are interested in climbing and climbing movies that would be able to make this space much cheaper than the alternatives in town :-) | FLAG |
