Devil's Canyon still open?

Hi, AZ Mt. Proj. folks:

My wife and I are thinking of heading out to the Queen Creek/Devil's Canyon area for end of March/beginning of April. I don't know the status of the mining development out there, but we'd like to get out to Devil's Canyon. The climbing looks great! How's the road? I know there's a 4X4 section at the end, which we'll hike. We'd like to take our Toyota Tundra and small trailer back in there for camping at the end of the road. Is there room? A little general beta would be helpful. Thanks!

Hey Scott was there two weeks ago. It's all still open. Great free camping can still be found on magma mine road and past oak flat. Camp at eurodog if you want a cool campsite Boulder. FYI locals burn A LOT of pallets at all the campsites. Fix a flat and a spare are nice. I must've pulled 100 nails and screws out of a 5 foot radius. Get a Marty map or two if you get a chance.
