There was a copperhead snake about 2ft long making its home half way down the ledge just to the left of this route. BE CAREFUL.
We saw the snake to the right of this route. Started climbing, the snake got closer to the belay stance and froze. One of our group pulled the rope about 2ft away from the wall as I (the belayer) also backed up. The snake promptly slithered over the ledge and disappeared. I do not know for sure if it went under the ledge, but there's plenty of dark safe space for it.
(Not sure if this should constitute a conditions report)
