Jamcrack on Dead Tree Climb.
Add Photo Printer View
Description Two cruxes.... One low getting through the initial steep crack section to reach ledges and holds under the second harder crux which pulls the devious moderate overhang past the "Dead Tree", now actually a rotted stump. Very exiting and no give away for the grade.
Location Prominent central crack line of Dead Tree Wall.
Protection Excellent all the way. Typical DL rack with assorted sizes and types of pro.

A well protected lead with a very committing crux.

I would not have wanted to take the fall out of the overhang off-width section, "PG-13" for me. Not much pro in the upper half we just ran it to the top.

crack was real dirty, probably doesn't see much traffic. One exciting move on a well protected climb.
