Keeping climbing areas open and conserving the climbing environment
Description On the south face of the boulder is a horizontal hand crack in an awkward flare. The Dead Animal traverses this crack from right to left, using hand and finger jams, as the ground drops away below you. After about ten feet of this you reach a scoop and can mantle up into it. The crack can be dirty, there is a bad landing, and the climbing is strenuous, awkward, and inobvious. It's anti-classic!
Protection pad and spotter: bad landing

| The regular finish for the traverse is up the crack which goes at about 5.10, the mantle finish mentioned in the description adds a great deal of dificulty, I'd say v3 for the mantle finish, possibly v4. But I've been told it's 11b... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WKzlM-8t87I |
