BETA PHOTO: Dave's Crank

Description

Inside the big split of Split Rock, start low and ascend the left side of the steep face on good holds with a throw or two and mantle the top while avoiding the slab in back of you.

Location

Sit Down Area- inside the slot of the Split Boulder - left of the tree in the slot

Protection

It is kind of hard to protect since you are in a slot, but maybe a spot would work for the top out.

Without the rock behind it, this would certainly be the best V2 in the woods. Actually, it still might be.

Agreed, did this in the late 70's and thought how awesome it would be without the boulder behind it.

Thanks, never knew the name.

Finally got on this today, very fun!... In all fairness Chris, if the slab behind you was gone so would be Sit Down Traverse. Just saying.
