Dave DiPaolo pleads guilty to murdering Carderock Geoff

Since the evidence was weak, they offered a plea agreement for 10 -15 years. Sound too little for killing your friend of 20 years with a claw hammer.

Thanks for posting this. It's amazing that it took this long to resolve this case. While the sentence seems light, it was pretty clear that DiPaolo was damaged goods. I sincerely hope Geoff's family can find some closure. I still fondly remember Geoff. he made my brief time in D.C. much richer.

I remember years ago cramponing around blood at the base of the ice in Boulder Canyon. Found out a argument ensued between a soloist and a class instructor over sending down ice, resulting in the instructor planting his axe in the other guys helmet. He wasn't killed but apparently had quite a head wound.
Another case of anger management or lack thereof !
