CVPC Bouldering

Pull in to the primitive campground off of SR-22 Montezuma Valley Rd. There is a small sign dictating the turn-off, though it is fairly easy to miss at night. Google maps will take you to there if needed. Campsite is found on the North side of the highway. Take the dirt road a few hundred feet until you reach the campground loop, make sure to stay right to the campsite, or left to the first pulloff. Campsites are not clearly designated by signage, but are easily located in person.

Established boulder problems can be found both throughout the campsite itself, and in the surrounding hills in almost any direction you can walk. Undeveloped rocks can be found if willing to walk a little further and do some searching. Most boulders are easily accessible via game or hiking trails.

Please be respectful of the surroundings and practice leave-no-trace principles at all times. There is a main hiking trail that loops around north of the campsite, starting in the north-eastern section of the campsite and heading north, then north-west. This trail is a good way to get around to the various areas and boulders, only leave the trail when needed and keep it clean. Be respectful of non-climbers, hikers and casual campers. This is their area as well!
