Description This is on the South side of Quandary Peak. Go left instead of heading towards the main trailhead and drive up the south side of the mountain till you can't go anymore. Park and climb.
Location This is an obvious, large couloir on the South Face. You can drive to it in later spring (May, June). It provides excellent corn snow.
Protection Ice axe, crampons. Good beginner snow climb - perhaps rope and snow pickets if this is the case.

| A classic ski descent in the spring! South facing, so it tends to set up early. Climb it while it's frozen in the wee hours of the morning, take a nap while you wait for the sun, and tip your skis off the summit as soon as the snow starts to soften. More corn than Kansas. |
