Sandy nears the anchor on Cracker Jacks.

Description

Climb the well featured and cobbled east face of Tower of Babel. Begin pulling shallow scoops that lead to many positive inclusions and large cobbles. Work up between large inclusions on pockets as the line steepens and leans to the right to the anchors.

Location

Begin climbing 60 feet uphill from the toe of the rounded buttress, and 10 feet left of a right leaning crack/groove.

Protection

5 bolts & 2-ring Fixe anchor.

Thanks for putting this up at my request. It is an excellent easy sport route perfect for a first lead. Lead it today in my Teva's since I forgot my climbing shoes.

I think this route is actually more like 5.0. It is perfect for beginners on top rope or a beginner lead.

The anchor at the top of the route is good for top roping other parts of this easy slab.

"Cracker Jacks " has gotten really popular. We saw two parties on it on Saturday and two more parties on Sunday.
