| After climbing Kinesava you could stay on the ridge to West Temple. It will involve dropping down a bit, climbing over a sub-peak, probably a bunch of 3rd/4th class, and then a single 5.8 mixed pitch (bolts + TCUs) to surmount the caprock and gain the summit plateau of West Temple. The normal West Temple route begins on the mesa above Springdale and gains the ridge via some vegetated ramps. You would go down that way. Kinesava + West Temple would be a long day. See Climbing #255, Feb. 2007. We got my friend's 2-year old son to the summit of Kinesava back in 1999. | FLAG |
