Description

The right side of the Corral Wall has a good selection of 15 routes or so with a fairly even mix of crack and faces, but the overall quality of the routes here is not on par with the left side of the wall. A number of bolted anchors on the crag allow one to descend easily as well as pack in a large number of routes in a short time if so inclined.

Exfoliation Confrontation (5.9), Bucket Bronco (5.10a) and Hang 'em High (5.10a) are the best of the routes here but when it's cold and windy elsewhere they're all fun.

Routes from left to right:

Watering Hole (5.1)
Hang 'em High (5.10a)
Nectkie Party (5.6)
High Noon (5.10b R)
Riding Shotgun (5.7)
Shotgun Wedding (5.7 R)
Hitchin' Post (5.6)
Exfoliation Confrontation (5.9)
Triple Bypass (5.10b)
Pony Express (5.9)
Czech Crack (5.10a)
Bucket Bronco (5.10a)

Starting from just above the Exfoliation Confrontation anchors are the following:

Wooden Nickel (5.5 R)
Marked Card (5.9 R)

Start on top of large boulder to easily clip first bolt. Follow bolts past horizontals. Anchor up and behind, plan to belay from the top or ruin your cord. Decent via rap (climbers left) into a blocky gully....[more]   Browse More Classics in CA
