Here is a write up of mine dealing with the connection between vandwellers and dirtbags. journey-of-mouldy.blogspot.…

cheaprvlivingforum.com/ comes up as not found, and cheaprvliving.com/ is broken and messed up. When you try to inform them of their problems, they jump all over you and tell you it's your computer, not THEIR site that is broken.

While there are a FEW good and knowledgeable people over there, there seems to be an abundance of regulars that don't seem to have much of a clue that like to attack the knowledgeable ones.

I've been watching their antics for a while, and if you follow the advice of the many, you will be wasting a lot of money to wind up as uncomfortable and broke as many of them seem to be. Misery loves company, and the one thing they seem to be good at is trying to suck others into their misery.

I can't really tell you of any super good places, but what I found on youtube and other sites was much better than on those sites.

If you are thinking about becoming a full timer, DON'T get sucked into solar. There are better and far cheaper and more reliable systems that you can build for a fraction of the price, that you would still need even if you had solar.

The "Dirtbags" are at the sites listed above, Van Dwellers can do much better. I hear there's a van dweller site on Yahoo that I want to check out.

Most of the stuff one needs to know about living on the road is just common sense, if you ask me. Before you actually do it, you may wonder how it all works but really, it's pretty easy to figure out.

But, it is fun to share how people made systems up and how they handle specific circumstances.

I haven't looked at the websites in the OP, but another resource I know of is the Escappees forum, which is found at rvnetwork.com/

It is geared toward the RV dweller but does have some useful information, and if one in inclined towards geekcentric systems, this forum will be a wet dream. I think you have to subscribe to the website to post, and it is not cheap, but it has full read-access last time I checked.

Ahhhhh, thanks! That may be the one I visited long ago and really liked. I'll check that out.

I think Tin Can Tourists may have had a site too.

Happy Camping!
