Does anyone have a conditions report for Petit Grepon? I live up in Vail and we still have lots of snow on the high peaks so I wanted to find out if its the same for RMNP in the Petit Grepon area. Any recent conditions report would be greatly appreciated!!

I've climbed the Petit in early season and it wasn't bad at all. The route itself is south facing and gets a lot of sun so I would reckon that the rock will be totally dry. You might have to do some slogging in the snow past The Loch, but I would recommend an early season ascent because you won't have to deal with as many crowds. Enjoy!

Expect the approach pitches to the grassy ledge to be somewhat wet, due to the late season snow. The rest of the route should be dry, at least these were the conditions when I climbed it last September.

Another time in middle of the Summer it was completely dry and we were able to solo up to the first ledge.

Gregger Man posted a couple photos from a recent day up that way here.
