| Hello everyone! Im in town from the gunks for a month and will be spending alot of time at Tahquitz. My partner and I are relatively new to multi pitch climbing. We have 3 routes in mind (White Maiden's Walkway, The Trough, and Angel's Fright). We want to spend 2 days doing each route (bivying for a night on each route). We have enough batteries to jam tunes and plan on having a Duran Duran marathon on the mountain. In addition I have a miniture doberman I plan on leaving at the base (or I can bring him up in our haul bag... although I was planning on getting away from the constant yipping). We would like to hang with some locals and get additional route beta for the rest of our trip. Cheers | FLAG |

| The dog can be brought up in our haulbag with the radio and everything else but we prefer not to have to listen to him yip all day. | FLAG |

Cheers Obvious troll, good job taking portions of several recent hot threads and jamming them all into one (Thaquitz is not for beginners thread, Dogs at the crag thread, and music at the crag thread). Unfortunately, the execution of the troll just isn't very good, try harder next time. | FLAG |

| Leaving your dog at the base overnight = cruel Bringing your dog up in a haulbag = hot and cruel Using a haulbag on those routes = huh? Take your dog to a kennel or leave it with someone. Signed, Dog Lover | FLAG |

Dude, You'll be lucky to finish those testpieces in two days. Most seasoned alpinists take at least three days on each of them. It's okay, tho, since you don't need a portaledge (there's some natural ledges for the team that can send three pitches in a day), so it's a good intro to so-cal hardman climbing for some dudes from the gunks. Only thing is, you'll have to rock the Pet Shop Boys after dark. Duran Duran is only for when you're hungry like the wolf, which, of course, is only during the day. It is admirable of you to join the MP community just in time to ask such a poignant question to ensure you're in compliance with local ethics. Kudos. However... If I see your dog at the base of the crag, I'll kill it and eat it. I will not tolerate being kept away from the start of my favorite 800' moderate by your agitated, mangy cur.' You should also talk to the mountainlion. If you're not CRUSHING 5.7, you have no business on the rock, bivy or no. | FLAG |

| Sounds like you gotta a pretty good plan, if only for one night tie his ass up to a tree and leave some food. Don't let these jokers rain on your parade and buy a damn book to read for the drive out. Craig Luebben's anchor book rules. | FLAG |

| Don't worry about these routes. If you can climb 5.2 at the Gunks you can climb 5.12 out west. Don't worry about yipping dog at base. It won't take long for a mountain lion to silence him. Have fun. | FLAG |
