| What's the closest major airport? | |
By Amy Denicke From Marietta, GA Jun 29, 2008
| Denver International Airport is approximately a 3 hour drive. Grand Junction is about a 40 minute drive, and Aspen is about an hour and a half drive. Denver will be your cheapest. | |

| You can also get shuttles into Pitkin Airport, in Aspen, which is less than an hour drive to Rifle. Check the distance from Grand Junction and Aspen to Rifle. GJ might be shorter. | |

| The only downside to flying into these smaller airports is that it is super expensive. Depending on where you're coming from, you will most likely go thru DIA first then get on a smaller turbo-prop plane such as United Express, Great Lakes Aviation... to get into GJ, Aspen etc... Those short distance flights are sometimes just as much as a flight from say Denver to the West coast. | |

| I grew up near Rifle. Grand Junction would be the best place to fly into. Have fun, be safe, pull hard | |

| Amy's right - Grand Junction is the closest airport for Rifle. Will cost more than DIA but less than Eagle or ASSpen.
BTW, friends of Pete W or NEB lurkers are not welcome @ Rifle. Trust me on this... | |
