When does Eldo's Vertigo get sun, and when is it in the shade? Also, does it warm up enough on a good day in March for happy climbing?

March is an excellent time of year for Eldo! I would plan on hitting it later in the day. It's in the shade in the morning. Not sure at what time it will come into the sun though. I remember climbing it this time of year in the past and have been fine. However, the belay at the top of the last pitch can be quite cold this time of year because it is totally in the shade.

Thanks for the info. Does anyone know what time the sun hits the majority of the route (not underneath the last-pitch visor)?

You'd be better off hitting it when it's not in the full sun.......BUT it does get afternoon sun it faces West. You may grease off the third pitch if it's too warm.

February, March, April........doesn't get much better in Eldo.
