What I do for a Living

Does anyone want to ski Loveland Pass with us (Leif and me)next weekend? Leif is 9 so if any other kids like this stuff, join in.

Also, I am totally up to hiking/skinning and skiing any mountain around here. I would like to do one each week ..... Let me know.

Guys,

FYI:

If you never skied loveland pass, it rules, bring the whole family.
Snow will be good for a while still ..... Great place to do laps with skins.

hey kevin check out the north couloirs page on pacific peak under the alpine routes database (just thought you might be impressed by what I posted up there). I plan on riding evans for about a month solid once it opens. Hopefully a first descent of the badfinger!

you should check out shit for brains and the north and east facing couloirs off grizzly if your on the pass.

Anyone,

Does anyone know where a cool list of backcountry skiing areas are listed?

I received emails from really cool people stating "try this and try that" but is there a list or guide book?

There's a book called "FRONT RANGE DESCENTS"...everything from I-70 corridor to RMNP to IPW...awesome resource...by Ron Haddad.

You can find it at any shop...Neptune, REI, etc...

Shaking the Pope's Hand- The Ironclads

Hi everyone... I'm currently working on a website called www.frontrangebackcountry.com

I'm trying to format loosely on the MountainProject, with real-time weather reports and conditions, user-generated content (adding new areas and runs much like MP),comments under individual areas and runs, photos, forums, information from CAIC, etc. Stay posted! LB

Kevin, you should check out TGR.

Lot's of Colorado Mags on that forum are getting it done.

Loveland Pass is a decent enough area. For Spring skiing it's a great area. Bert has some amazing stuff, overall it's better imo. Now a days it's time to start looking at the higher peaks and the big lines.

Luis, good luck with that. It's something we've sorely needed since the demise of coloradofirsttracks. Looking forward to what you put out there.

Thanks... I'm actually heading up to Taylor Glacier this weekend to take pics for the site (RMNP passed the Sharkstooth above Sky Pond).

Kevin, et al,

Give me a shout for some easy turns. I had a couch potato winter and could use some mashed potatoes before summer hiking season kicks in. A nine-year old will probably leave me in his dust.

Phone available on website, otherwise email or PM me here.

Ciao,
Martha

Hey kevin I think I'm heading up there tomorrow aswell, almost 100% sure I will be alone. Probly looking to hit rush, maybe rush 2, maybe russel, or just a nice walk to break trail for sunday up zero creek (chimney chute/rock) to scope a nice little hidden couloir.
I will be in a green subary legacy sedan.
