chillen up top

+1 for bennet at prodealresoles.com. Super nice guy that does better work than a bunch of resoles i've seen on other's shoes.

I'm going on my second resole with him on some muira's.

Here's another thread of happy customers.

Yosemite Bum for me.

Despite what teh intarnetz says, the Trax rubber is every bit as good anything on the market. Better in most cases.

They REPLACE rands. That bullshit toe cap stuff works for climbing walls and easy sport routes. They are Evolve. Your shoes, regardless of brand come back as if they came from a shoe factory, not some glue huffer in north boulder. They also listen and follow specific or custom instructions very well.

I specifically told the guys at R&R that I would be upside-motherfucking-down in my shoes and that any patch would peel the first time I wore them. They didn't believe me, told me to trust their work, and the patch peeled the first I used them.

Have I mentioned delaminating yet?

The overall attitude of R&R is exactly what I would expect of a popular resole shop in Boulder. Smile and nod when getting instructions but not following them because most of the time the customer will never know the difference.

I know how to resole shoes myself, I even have the tools. I am confident in my ability to produce resoles with toe patches that are 95% of what R&R can do. I send my stuff to Yosemite Bum because their work is so vastly superior, the same price (shipping is pretty standard unless you live next to a resoler), and well worth the 2-3 week turnover. And I mean WELL worth it.

Don't take my word for it, my footwork is so perfect that shoes last me for 7 years on average.

Interesting experiance. I have not heard of such attitude at RnR.
Maybe you should open up a resole shop in CO and make it the real deal. :)95% quality of a secured resole shop is good odds you;ll succeed. I had my shoes done by the BUM some years back and waited about two months for what I also consider a half assed job so I guess each climber has its own take service.

Shoes delam. Alot. MOst of the time due to the climbers fault not the shoe company or the resolers. Funny how that works though. especially climbing OW ;).
It sounds like from this thread though that all 3 places will get the job done. Not one stands out higher then the other. I wouldnt ship to the BUM again though. but I also live next to a cobbler.
Cheerios.
