where else ? any beta on prices, quality etc.

Rock and Resole in Boulder is where I've always sent mine. They have a website. Fast turnaround too. Just mail them.

Rock and Resole...best resoles in the country hands down. $25 for the half sole, $8.50 per each toe cap. 2-3 day turnaround and they do a lot of mail business. Check out their website. www.rockandresole.com

Komito Boots, Estes Park. I know its a bit of a drive from Springs, but Steve does wonders! Usually takes about a week and costs about $60 for full sole/rand repair, but your shoes will be like new... Also, he's one of only a few people in CO certified for 5.10's "Stealth" stuff. Go with the best. He's worth the drive.

Dave you can drop off your shoes and the Mt Chalet here in the springs. Theres a guy down in Pueblo that does the work. Can't remember the prices but it was better then some of the other places and you dont pay shipping if I remember right.

By the way, that reminds me. Is anyone else a bit self-conscious about sending in shoes that stink really bad? I know that's silly, but I can't help feeling like someone has to work on my shoes in a bio-hazard suit or something.

The guy in Pueblo I think is "Pro Deal Resole." Someone told me he did a good job. Me I've always used Komito with the exception of a couple of resoles by Muff Cheney when I was in college. He's left the Springs I believe.

C4 is 5.10's stickiest rubber as I understand it.

I've had two pair resoled by ProDeal Resole out of Pueblo (drop off/pick up at Mtn Chalet) and they do an awesome job! Definitely worth while and cheaper than Rock and Resole. I think the guy that started the company down in Pueblo used to work for R&R if I'm not mistaken.

Really does a great job w/ climbing as well as approach shoes.

I just got a pair back from Rock n resole. I mailed them to the shop for like 4 bucks. half resoles, double rand repairs, and shipping back cost $55, and they came out perfect. Round trip was 7 days.

Rubber Room in Bishop has also done a great job for me, and you get a funny sticker.

THE ONLY place to send your rock shoes to get resoled or your mountaineering boots to be resoled or ANYTHING to be resoled is Rock and Resole in Boulder.

Those guys have even resoled running shoes of mine with sticky rubber so I can run up the 1st and 3rd Flatiron. Their work is excellent, the turnaround is never more than 48 hours and their prices are reasonable...........Plus they are climbers who GET IT!!!

I just got my 5.10 moccasyms back from rock n resole and they did a great job. Dropped my Acopa's off and they said they'd have them done in two days. Slightly expensive to have the toe rand replaced, but still much cheaper than a new pair.

Pro Deal Resoles is great! Sent in some haggared shoes that were de-laminating and said to just do a half resole. Got the shoes back quick and he fixed up and re-laminated my shoes and just charged for the 1/2 resole. They are also the cheapest. I think he charges 20 bucks plus shipping.

Just had my vintage 1985 jazzes done and my even older RR Blue Suede Shoes done both with the C4 At R&R great job.

The last boots I had resoled went to Komito, the boot taker,
as Warren Harding called him in 'Downward Bound'. The guy is
great. And you can drop them off at Neptune's and he sends them
up to Estes Park, and they will be returned there about a week later.
I suspect you could probably just mail them to Komito's too.
I've had many boots/shoes resoled there, and all of them
were top notch!

Am I the only one here who thinks that R&R is as over-rated as "One Night in Paris"

Both get the job done but better can certainly be had.
