Does anyone know if there are alpine climbing (rock) routes in the Mosquito Range anywhere? Looking for something a little different this summer, and since I'm not at all familiar with the Mosquito Range, I thought that might be a place to start!
There are a lot of old mines in the mosquito that have been collapsing and causing major hazards for for travel in the area. Check out the Indian peaks and Rocky Mountain national park theres tons of alpine ascents and a lot of ski descents.
There are a couple technical lines on Quandary which is not, technically, in the Mosquito Range, but is close enough. Haven't done any of them myself, but North Buttress is supposed to be nice.
Yeah, I've always wondered about the name "Mosquito Range".
North Buttress...any more information on that? I can't seem to find a reasonable match... (Crestones...no, RMNP...no, California...not today, anyway) Inwood Arete looks like fun, however.
Inwood, yeah, that's it.

The two friends of mine that separately did, or shall I say tried to do the supposed right line on Inwood Arete really did not like it. It is loose and route finding is notoriously difficult. If you like climbing choss with little or no idea of where to go, you might enjoy it.
