I'm curious to know what it generally looks like down there weather-wise in late March.

~~Snow?
~~Rain?
~~PI?
~~Daytime temps?

I'm not planning on spending any nights on the wall. I'm sure it will be quite chilly at night, but we'll be in the campground.

I might have a friend coming in from the East Coast to head down there with me. Would that me a good time of year to hit it up? Cuz ya know, I can't climb in the Boulder area anymore. :)

Thanks in advance for the beta.

Gunnison in late march = really cold, probably lots of snow. If it does happen to be warm, it will just melt snow and everything will be muddy and/or wet.

It would be a better idea to bring you skis, a backpack full of beer, and hit the Butte for some spring skiing.

I climbed there last march....cold in the shade and quite pleasant in the sun...I am sure it snows there later than March so I guess it could be hit or miss...also inside the canyon usually feels much warmer than the rim.

Thanks folks. It looks like we might look into the desert instead.

I appreciate the beta.
