Does anyone know the status at Catslab in clear creek? I thought that was one of the best areas for families. I was hoping to get the kids out soon and they love that area.

Looking down from Notchtop

Cat Slab has long been closed by the owner of the tract. It's now posted "no tresspassing."

The only reason I bring this up is I saw some people climbing there last weekend and the sign was no longer there. I hope it is open and not a case of climbers making their own decisions hurting the future of the slab.

You can love your rope but you can't "LOVE" your rope

That is interesting about the Catslab. I wonder if someone took the sign down out of spite?? How old are your kids Jeff? Be sure to join the new yahoo group if you didn't already! There's 12 members already. I wish I had thought of this sooner... Way to go Tracy!

Kids? Don't get me wrong. I love kids.

My step kids are 14 and 10. The 14 year old boy has been belaying me while I lead and he is starting to get into the climbing more, he does not like the lowering part. The 10 year old girl isn't in to it as much but with other kids she might be a little more gung ho. I tried signing up on the list but I do not have a yahoo acount yet. I would love to gather with others and their kids for a day of fun and adventure in the sun. The other place we really enjoy is Elevenmile canyon, great moderate climbs and camping

I know this is redundant but some of you don't have the yahoo account so I'm posting here too... I was looking at Saturday May 31st for the next proposed parent/kid climbing day. We can't do it that Sunday or the next unfortunately. I know one of you mentioned Sundays were good. Hopefully Saturday is ok!
