Kevin Stricker on the FFA of Coppertone 2/28/2004....
Description
This is a second pitch to Wear Cattle that climbs a steep face and ends at the top of the Standard Route p.2. Named for the sea of lichen at the top of the pitch, this climb has better moves than rock.
From the anchors on Wear Cattle make thin moves right then up the steep face. After the last bolt continue right to join the Standard Route at the second pitch roof, and pull through to anchors.
Location
Wear Cattle is a face route left of the Standard Route, Coppertone is its second pitch. Either belay at the anchor for Wear Cattle, or link it up from the ground for a long pitch with lots of drag.
Protection
6 quickdraws and a couple TCUs for the roof. You need a 70m rope to reach the ground from the anchors.
