DescriptionThis area is the highest on the hillside of all the Cathedral Spires crags. A wonderful view and uninterrupted solitude offset the lack of high quality routes on this crag. One wonders why there are not more routes on the long inviting dihedrals until you hike up there for a closer inspection. The rock is a different strata from the consolidated granite on the lower crags. This is an area worth visiting once when you have climbed on all the other formations in the area. Getting ThereThe best approach is to hike to the Sunshine Wall and drop down around Turkey Foot Tower. The gully between TFT and the Poe buttress is loose and steep. Follow this straight uphill for a couple hundred yards to the long wall with many dihedrals directly behind the Sunshine Wall.
