Description
Any 5.10 in Rifle that's not polished is 3 stars. The Bloody Corner is an excellent left leaning finger crack that would probably be a classic 5.9 at Eldo. The bolt spacing is quite spicy around the 4th or 5th bolt so don't fall there. Cross the "bridge" for the Ruckman Cave and then hike left about 100 yards and you'll find a quiet isolated wall with 5 routes. Bloody Corner is right above a large 10' X 10' boulder and is the 3rd route from the left. Just right of "Bovine Impact".

I thought this was harder than the 5.9s I've done in Eldo. At least to onsight. Would have rather lead it with gear actually. Didn't feel it was that runout...but for some Rifle bolting perhaps yes.

Another lame and useless comparison to Eldo. The two areas are so far removed in both style, rock quality, and rock type from each other that this comment is just another attempt to inflate the tradster's ego. Can we just please leave these types of descriptions out? They do not help at all.

Jarthur,
Have you actually climbed this route?
This route is very atypical of Rifle, and it could be lead on gear.
I have climbed this route and a fair bit in Eldo, and I don't think it was an unrealistic comment. I don't think it feels much different than the Yellow Spur crux pitch.
