BETA PHOTO: This is an airal view of Gilligan's Island. I add...
Description
This a nice little Island located on the west end of the park. This area can be good all year round and at any time of the day. Here you will find a few gems, test pieces and cruisers to enjoy.
Most the rock is of good quality, and it never seems to be crowded. In fact, I feel it is one of the more overlooked areas at in the park.
Getting There
Park in the 2nd lot on the west side of the park. Hike north across a big open field via "The Bluebird Meadow Trail" until you run into an obvious Island that features really cool low angle slabs protruding from its southern most tip.
The 1st six boulders, featuring "The Captain," will be viewable just out and slightly to the west of your eye line.
The Classics
Mountain Project's determination of some of the classic, most popular, highest rated routes for Gilligan's Island:
Start with both hands in a big in cut jug. Move up and left for a small crimp. Gain a toe or heel hook in the starting hold and push high above your head to another crimp. Work up into a shallow corner/scoop via sloping crimps. Once you are over the overhang exit right and walk off.Classic!!! A must do on the south side of the Island!!...[more]Browse More Classics in CO
Thanks, I know that the photo beta is week but I am going to go out, hopefully this weekend, to get all the photo beta I need to finish posting all the lines that I know about. I still think I have about 100 more lines to post. I also know the locations of some new F.A. potential. If your down we could go check these new hidden lines and crush them!!!
Don't worry about the lack of photo beta at this time. I am working to make finding these lines as easy as possible. I just had to start some where. I think I added about 40 new lines today. Hope you enjoy. If you have any question please just contact me as I would be glad to help.
