BETA PHOTO: The Junior Olympic Wall once you get to the top of...

Description

A south-facing cliff on the way to the Opening Ceremonies Wall and the Olympic Wall. When you are headed up to Olympic Wall, you pass right by this wall. It offers a good place to warm up for the harder routes up top, or a decent place for beginners to either TR or sport climb some easier routes.

Getting There

Park at the Grotto Wall parking area. Walk up the road, (heading towards Twin Lakes not Aspen), for about 300 yards. Be very careful while doing this, because the road is very tight and there is really no good place to walk while cars come screaming down the pass. After the 300 yards look on the north, (left), side of the road for a cairn and a good climbers trail. Follow the cairns because they are the path of least resistance. After heading up the final steep slope, the trail eases a little and you are there.
