Jay Peterson at the crux

Description

The route to farthest right which starts on a mini ledge. This a a fun little intermediate route however becareful at the start because the rock can be a little crumbly in sections, after that it is bomber.

Protection

Three bolts to a two chain anchor

First off [excellent] name for the slab, [beginner] says it all, this 5.9 is quick and over before you know it. Juggy arete start leads to, [stretchy] face climbing moves to anchors. Good first moderate lead.

Though short, this is an excellent lead. Moves to the first bolt are a tad spicey for a new 5.9 leader. Worth a stop on your way to Super Slab.

BTW, this route is named "Cardassian" according to the Rock-N-Roll sports guide (by Ryan Cowan).

This route, and the other 2 bolted lines on Beginner's Slab - 2 bolts each to bolt anchors, there are no longer any chains. - 2 bolts being plenty of pro for these fun little lines.
