Description 

Climb 20 feet of runout, slabby pegmatite to a #0.3 Camalot placement in dark rock. Continue up via fingers and stemming in broken rock to a second band of pegmatite and hand jams up to a large ledge with a pine tree and belay.

This route is an alternate 1st pitch to Frontal Assault.

Location 

The route ascends the prow of Jack's Fortress.

Protection 

Singles of BD #0.3-3.0, stoppers. Belay from tree or gear. To descend, sling tree and rap off or walk left and continue up Frontal Assault.
