BETA PHOTO: The boulder as seen from the road.

Description

Great, tall, triangle-shaped boulder about 20 yards off the highway. It can be a bit noisy since the road is so close. Despite the noise, this boulder is wonderful, and take note of the bone imprints embedded in it.

Getting There

From I-70 in Grand Junction, get off on US Highway 50 heading south. A few miles out of Junction you will come to CO Highway 141, and you will make a right towards Naturita. Follow CO Highway 141 approx. 5 miles and you will see the fossil boulder on the right hand side. It is a very distinct boulder and very hard to miss. See included picture.
