Description

Riggs' Hill is reported to be the site of the first official dinosour excavation in western Colorado. It's named for paleontologist Elmer S. Riggs. The hill is littered with hundreds of sandstone boulders.

Drive west on I-70B and exit onto Redlands Parkway. Continue on Redlands Parkway towards the Colorado National Monument until it becomes South Broadway. Continue on for about 1 more mile and Riggs' Hill is on the right.
