BETA PHOTO: 4. New River Gorge Homesick Blues, 9+
5. The Virus...

Description

This wide crack is right of the Big Dihedral and left of The Virus. Climb up to a "cave" and then exit with some precarious "looking" moves. This climb has some fun finger jams and stems. At the top, you can traverse right and use the bolt anchors on The Virus. It is #6 in the topo =>

Protection

Bring pro to 2" and several slings. No fixed anchor. Hubbel's said 4", but I never used it.

Isn't the photo with this route meant for Lemons, Limes and Tangerines?

Yes, but the Beta photo is right. Does anybody else think the rating is too high? Killian's Dead (5.6) seemed harder.

No. 6 in the beta photo. Things get better upon exiting the "cave". Not a great climb, but not bad either.
