DW on Dark Waters.

Description

Dark Waters begins under the roof on underclings then pulls the lip and traverses left to a final jump move over dark water.

Location

The cave below the New River Wall hosts a number of new boulder problems that can be climbed when the river is low or frozen.

Protection

A couple pads will do.

Does the stream ever get so high you can't get on this problem?

Hey Josh you comin down to D-town any time soon? The boulder definitely gets water under it. Late spring through sometime in the summer there is water underneath the boulder.

Ya, I think I might be coming down there the first week of March for spring break. Congrates on sending D.W.

The water doesn't entire recede until Mid-October. Essentially a late fall, winter bouldering area (unless you want to stack rocks for hours to make the landing). Stand start (on the large undercling at the lower lip goes at V10).

I was trying the line today and all but the last big toss move was free of falling into the water. What a powerful line!! Really good man. I hope better temps will improve my performance on the line??
