Description

Looks & climbs like a broken escalator.

Follow a prominent right facing corner with a clean crack that diagonals from left to right and follows a smooth ramp. The climb is about 70 feet long. The crack provides some nice jams. If you happen to be walking north along the west side of the river below High Wire, this ramp is likely the last easy way out if the river is too high. This would be a great beginner Trad route if the approach wasn't so difficult.

Exit: After topping out, carefully scramble up to the base of High Wire over loose rock.

Getting there: This climb is on the west side of the river about 300 feet south of the Tunnel 2 Bridge and begins at the river bottom. See Low Spark of High Wire Crag approach description.

Protection

Medium cams. Set your anchor before exiting the crack.
