Begin sitting down and right of the bulge to the right of Little Red Volcano on a decent rail. Bumb along the slopey edge, hug the bulge, work the feet, and reach for a good hold.
Chickenpox Rock is the second boulder directly uphill from Hank's. It's easily identifiable by its diminutive stature and several pox-shaped lichen spots on the rock's uphill face.
Protection
Better landing than the other two problems on Chickenpox, but a pad is nice.
Both these routes went down in March 2008 first ascent goes to Jordan out of Greeley, We did not name either route (Calamine or Chicken Pox) as you call them, but both were good for the ratings. Just figured you would want to know that they were done previously.
