walk west towards tilt, assuming you know where that problem is.
go back to the east a couple boulders and look for a toaster underneath the problem. i seem to remember it being real close to tollebooth willy and crusher. the bottom line is until a topo is available, walk around the boulders and look for the toaster on the north side of a boulder.
We revisited Crusher and Toaster again this past weekend. For both Crusher and Toaster, tread lightly as they appear to be very close to be on the boundary line for private land.
Getting there is best explained as follows ... hike west to The Tilt, Fire Pit, Crazy Cody, Cloudwalker & Divergence area. From there, walk southeast 50 to 100 yards toward the Kingpin Boulder, the giant boulder very close to the cabins that has an outhouse behind it. About 20 or 30 yards yards from the Kingpin Boulder is a little clearing with a rusted barrel. Next to the barrel is an obvious west-facing and overhanging problem called Crusher. Toaster is on the next boulder 20 yards to the west, is on the west side of the boulder, also has a steep overhang to start and STILL has the toaster underneath.
Be as quiet as possible while visiting these problems and STAY OFF OF KINGPIN - PERIOD.
i meant to say: maybe a twitch easier than [Crusher] and [Hank's] and most definitely easier than [Johnny] and [Hodgey], which is seriously sandbagged ... period.
i'm going to go ahead and disagree with myself here, ac, and say that V5 is a fair rating consistent with other problems at the 420s. maybe a twitch easier than toaster and hank's and most definitely easier than johnny and hodgey, which is seriously sandbagged ... period.
perch and johnny and hodgey have screwed perceptions about relative difficulty up in the 420s. perch is seriously v7 and johnny and hodgey is like v47.
