Description

Alternate second pitch to "Bat Crack". Climb Bat Crack to a mini roof about 60ft. up. Go up and over (instead of heading left) and head right to a large block (runout and dirty) and belay here. Scoot over the edge of the block on good holds, and follow the cracks left under secondary roof. Find the "soft spot" under roof and work your way over using horns and jugs, climb the slab above to tree and horn belay.

Location

Go up and right at the small roof on p1 of Bat Crack to a large block (belay).

Protection

Standard rack, takes small cams well.

That's funny, a few years ago some friends and I did a variation of Bat Crack (to its left instead of right) and called it The Riddler, too. I guess it's a logical choice. Actually we called it Riddler Right because we originally envisioned a line just left of there that none of us ended up having the balls to lead. So that's Riddler Left. I'm not claiming the name as our own or anything. We never reported it, or even considered it an FA, it's just what we called it amongst ourselves. Your line sounds like a nice diversion, I'll have to check it out as well.
I'll post a photo of the climbing on the line we took.
