Description

70 foot tall thumb-shaped spire on a sunny south-facing mountain side. Rock quality is fair to solid, Monastery-type granite.

Getting There

East from Loveland or west from Estes Park on US Highway 34. Park 1.4 miles west of Drake in a dirt pullout on the north side of the road (same parking as Salt Block Rock). Walk west along the road 75 yards. Looking uphill to the northwest the "thumb shaped" Erid Weatherin is seen 100 yards uphill. Pick your trail to the base of the rock.
